Katie Cook

Katie Cook, a progressive college student studying art, is the great-granddaughter of Elmer Cook, the Klansman who was the ringleader in the murder of Unitarian Rev. James Reeb; he was the man who delivered the fatal blow to Rev. Reeb in Selma in 1965. Katie, an advocate for human rights, illustrates the power of transformation over several generations of the same family, from rabid white supremacy to belief in the equality of all human beings.
